and then taking a tour of the chocolate factory
Sometimes I don't know why I even bother reading some of the articles here at JoeUser. I know it's going to piss me off before even reading the damned blog, but like a sucker for punishment, I go ahead and do it anyway.
You know, I'm pretty much like that in life as well.
I remain friends with people who, while I care for deeply, seem to annoy me deeply as well. Not enough to toss the friendship, but just enough to not to want to spend too much time with them, every single day. Sometimes I don't know why I even bother cleaning the house. This morning I did the floors, cleaned the bathroom, and vacuumed. This afternoon, Kole spilled paint on the kitchen floor, dropped her art-box on the living room carpet, and is currently playing 'potions' in the bathroom sink. I GIVE UP on cleaning during days that she's at home.
But, there's more. I know that things are going to come to a head, between me and my sister. It's just time. We've been getting along fabulously, and it's been fun. But lately, we've started picking at each other. Doing things that we know will piss each other off. Why? Who knows. But I know she's doing it too, because today, she started to sing my favorite song in the car. Have you ever watched The Muppet Show? The one where Ralph the Dog tries to teach Fozzie Bear how to sing 'I've Got Rhythm' correctly, because Fozzie just so doesn't have any rhythm at all? That's what my sister is like. As well as being only able to sing off-key. It's godawful. She knows it. I know it. Anyone in hearing range knows it. So, generally, she just doesn't sing. Except for today, when she tried to sing 'leaving on a jet plane' at high volume. I'm still cringing, and I'm still bothered by the fact that she managed to rile me up, purposely.
