show me your boobie!

I actually wasn't partying, but I did go out Tuesday night and on Wednesday I just came to the realization that I'm not a kid anymore. I need sleep. I need recovery time. I'm just bored by the whole bar thing. I need to get a different life. I was stupidly thinking that I was back in my teens, and could go out for 2 nights in a row. No deal. I was at home, Wednesday night by 11pm. Decided to catch a movie instead and call it a night. I'm not Superman, you know.

My girl went away for a couple of days, and I just miss her like crazy. Crazy, huh? I can't even spend a full 48 without her. She's called me twice already, so I'm thinking she feels the same way. She's having a bit of a tough time at school, so I think she just wants to be near me. Wanna hear the story?

So, Kole goes to a private school, and the total student population numbers 25. K-High School. She's in Kindergarden, but is getting moved up in a couple of weeks. However, one of the few Grade 1-5 students who is near her age, is the ringleader for the younger children. The kids follow this girl around, and Kole is one of them.
So I get this call from the principal last week, and she tells me that during a counselling session, said ringleader had told them that my daughter, one day on the bus, asked the girl to show her her boobie. (Kole's words.) To make a long story short, the whole thing just snowballed. Kole thought that she did something horrifically wrong, she got pulled out of class by 3 teachers who, while saying that they didn't want to make a big deal out of it, did make a big deal out of it. My girl is humiliated, and scared to go back. She gets on the bus this week, goes to sit beside the ringleader, and the bus driver pulls over and separates them. Kole came home that day and told me that she now has to sit on the bus right behind the bus driver, alone.

I had a parent/teacher meeting, and it's funny the way things happen in the eyes of a child, and what happens in the eyes of an adult.

Yes, they did get separated. Terming the little girl 'the ringleader' is misleading. She just happens to be a personable, popular kid. All the little kids gravitate towards her. Yes, her behavior is inconsistent, but overall, she's not a bad kid. But since the little kids like her so much, they all want to sit next to her. The bus driver has decided to place the girl next to an older girl, away from the younger kids. It got to the point where it was decided it was a bus safety issue with all the little ones trying to sit next to her, around her, etc. But of course, with Kole having been involved in the whole 'boobie' issue, she thought that it was all her fault.
She still doesn't want to go back.

Ahhhh... what to do?
