It feels like I'm doing the rounds of reserves in Ontario. I've been to both Hiawatha and Curve Lake in the past two days. I am on my way up to Wasauksing First Nation, and will probably hit Shawanaga as well, while I'm there. I'm supposed to be visiting my brother in Manitoulin next month, which usually means a trip to the Mag as well. Hell, to even things up, I'll propose a spur-of-the-moment drop-in to the Casino. I'll just have to consider that as a real Rama visit, too.

For a person who was raised for the majority of her life in a non-Native environment, I'm making up for lost time, now. After finding my birthmother in '88, I've also had the opportunity to meet hundreds of cousins, tens of aunties and uncles, and even a sister and brother as well.

It hasn't all been bad.
