My daughter is supposed to go away for a couple of days. She's supposed to stay with her grandparents for one evening then go out of town another evening to visit more relatives. And I know that I shouldn't apologize, but I was looking forward to it. Tuesday, I was going to go to play basketball with my Chicks With Balls team, and then out for a couple of pints to rehash the moves of the night. Then I was going to meet my greatest friend Mike, who is back in town for a couple of weeks. He's been away at Teacher's College for the past year, and I never get to see him! Wednesday night, we (A whole crew of people) were going to go out to 80's night at the Trash. Lots of dancing, sweaty bodies squeezed together all in the pursuit of a good time. During the days, I was just going to hang out with Mike and Sara and a lot of the other downtown crowd. I was so looking forward to it, but wouldn't you know it... this morning my girl started sniffling, and has just asked to go down for a nap.

Blarrrghhhh!
