Why is it, that every single time I want to find the remote control to either the TV, VCR, DVD, or CD Player, it's never there to be found? I spend more time looking for the damned things than doing what I want to do; relaxing while being amused.

I am not amused.

Yes, I know there are remotes that will do the whole job for you in one easy controller. I actually feel fairly confident at setting up electronic equipment, but do you think that I can figure out how to program one of these things? It's too much work for something that is supposed to simplify your life. My wish is that these remotes would contain some sort of audio marker, that is, if I can't find the damned thing, I should just be able to shout out 'DVD remote' and the thing would emit some sort of annoyingly high pitched sound so I can follow the noise to find it.I think that I would be satisfied if I could actually work the DVD player by just using the buttons on it, but no... that would be too easy.

I'm sure I'll come across it, but for now, my life is just a mess without it. But, perhaps, that's the reason why it's missing in the first place.
