shut me up...

I don't know why I am in this kind of mood, but I feel like I can go on and on forever...

I've been thinking about some of the sites I usually visit online, and aside from various blogs that I must read, another visit on my must-do list is at Link. IMDB is simply the best site for accessing information about the movie industry. There are daily updates on gossip, links to new trailers, and pretty good bios on actors/actresses/directors/writers/and almost everyone involved in the movie making process. One of the best things that I like when you access movie information is when you are able to click onto the Trivia link to the left sidebar. There, you can find all sorts of interesting info about casting, production mishaps, etc. The last time I visited IMDB it was to find out the answer to this question: Has Orlando Bloom ever done a 'contemporary' movie? (ie: not set in a different time-period?) Prize goes to anyone who can answer this question.

Another link that I'd love to direct you to is for the band Money Money. This band is going to be big! My daughter loves two of the guys in the band, Jeremy Gabriel, the guitarist, and the lead singer Ryan Kennedy. Link
Some say that they are very garage/rock, and others have linked them to Bowie/Iggy Pop, and a whole slew of other musicians, but just sit back and listen. You might likey.

I've got a new buddy at work. Anyone who has been following my blog for the past, oh, decade, knows that my crush up and quit and left me stranded. It's been bloody boring without him. Well, we got a new team member a couple of weeks ago. He's been sitting two seats away from me for the past two weeks with no one else between us. He finally moved beside me this morning, and that's all it took. Two hours in, and we were both chatting away, cracking jokes and dissing customers. Much better...

And my crush... well, not to get all hot and bothered about it, but mygod.... men are bloody irritating. I could go on for years about this but to sum it all up, I give you this: Give a guy an opportunity to talk about himself and he'll take it. He may even say some deep and meaningful things. He might even reveal a lot of personal stuff, but in the light of day, it will scare the crap out of him, and he'll go all stoic for the next couple of weeks. Rinse, lather, repeat. Well, so sorry, but that ain't my thing. And yes, I still dig him. But, arrgh.... I can't help feeling a bit pissed that I do, sometimes.

Work is work. I've mentioned before that I work for an American cellphone company. More precisely, for the 'credit-challenged' customer. Yeah, we do troubleshooting for cellphones, and help set up voicemail/text messaging/picture messaging, but the bulk of it is... you guessed it, billing. Add Billing to Credit-Challenged and you know what that equals. A bloody pain in the ass at the best of times. And, I'm no Mesna member, hehehe, but mygod... how hard is it to figure out that if you don't pay yer bill, you don't get service. More than a million times, I've explained to people how payments are processed. What due dates mean. How paying yer bill 2 months ago don't mean a thing. You have to pay your current bill, too. And the thing that I want to point out most often is this: if you aren't responsible enough to not exceed your minutes, pay your bill on time, or not download 38 ringtones at one time, then bygod, go and get a pay-as-you-go phone. It really is the best option for you.

I love swearing. Seriously. I laughed my ass off when a girl at work was telling a whole slew of us outside in the smoking alley about the woman who kept calling her a fucking pussy. In a Southern drawl. I can only imagine. Every once in awhile, someone will take off their headset and set their phone to speakerphone to let others hear a person-gone-wild. It's something, all right. I've been called an ass-licker, a mother-humping, goddamned foreigner (caller knew I was Canadian!), and every variation of the F word imaginable. And it ALL made me laugh on the phone. I can't help it. Some reps are very offended, shocked, angered, or hurt, but I think it absolutely rocks when someone has that much anger going in them that they have to let loose like that. And, funny or no, but I am more than convinced that the majority of the people who swear on the phone, aren't even convinced that swearing is impolite. It's just a regular, common part of their language. The same way that you might use the word 'and' in a sentence. Common, huh?

Well now, I've gone and written way too much for one sitting. My ass is flat, and I need a smoke badly. Until next time...
