Well, well... today I posted my 150th article. This is it.

5 months ago, the day before Christmas, I was at my parents' place, surfing around between www.imdb.com and www.yook.de where I had dual addictions to celebrity news and playing the old classic lines. Being rather bored, I jumped to www.televisionwithoutpity.com and read the latest headlines. Off to the side was an ad about a book about blogging and relationships. I was interested. I hit google and I found home.

Well, sort of. You know what I mean.

Since then, I have had the great opportunity to write about just about anything that interests me and receive responses from anyone else who is interested in what I have to write about. I've 'met' many fine people here, who, whether they know it or not, have made me feel happy, sad, angry, bitter, joyful, sorrowful, appreciated, cared for, and above all, as an important part of a really decent community.

Joeuser is a great place. We are lucky to have the opportunity to get to know each other through our one common love: self-expression through writing. Getting to know each other has had its ups and downs, but for the most part, our ever-changing Joeuser is a good reflection of what we all appreciate; being heard, and being understood.

Some of the things that I have learned here: (Another unordered list, hooray!)

  • Phrases like we agree to disagree

  • How to self-edit. While biting my lip.

  • That I am actually have an opinion about politics.

  • That you can hate someone's politics, but you don't have to hate the person who holds them.

  • That there are FREAKS out there but you can blacklist them so that you don't have to read their crap.

  • That I am contrary. I love to read stuff written by FREAKS. (That's depressing.)

  • That I am never going to be in the top ten.

  • That I don't care either, just about the people who are. And about others who are nowhere near those standings.

  • That there are some fantastic writers here. Writers who could get published likethat if they were interested in doing so.

  • That I've got a pretty big collection of writing now.

  • Thanks so much my friends . It's been fun.

You know, sometimes I can be hesitant about comments and hesitant about feelings. But I want you to know that I appreciate your comments on my blog very much. At some of my lowest blogging moments, you've been there. And even if you do never get to the top ten, you are on so many people's favorites list! And if there ever was a get together in life of joeusers, as you once wrote about, you would be one of the first I'd like to meet in person!
