Another day, another dollar...

I'm in prime bitching mode, but at the same time, it's the first goddamned beautiful day outside and I'm voluntarily on the computer for my own personal use. Should I be nice, especially since I rarely get to post an article, or should I be true to thine self, and let 'er rip?

I'll settle for a compromise.

Kole and I are well. She's growing, as always, and is now wearing women's clothing, and ladies shoes (Size 7, yeah.) I'm having a shitload of fun buying her clothes that she hates and that I adore. Ha. I tell her she gets all the pink, frilly, and girly stuff from her Gramma and Aunties, and to give me a break and let me live vicariously through her. God knows I can't pull off some of the outfits anymore. Fat and age. Life really is a bitch, sometimes.

Work is work. And there it is, ladies and gentlemen. I enjoy certain parts of my job, but I hate a lot of it, too. I'm having employer issues that are not going to change, and it's a seesaw ride of thinking that things are fantastic, or thinking that it simply sucks bad. Overworked, underpaid, and trying to meet demands that are both important and nonsensical. I don't know what I need, but I need something more.

Love is in the air. Everyone walking the streets downtown are arm in arm, and it's lovely, even to a jaded girl like me. I walk those same streets with my girl, and it's equally lovely. We entered the Nutty Chocolatier last night, and got PopRocks and popcorn and then peeked into storefront windows checking out the merchandise. Sugar explosions in my mouth followed up with salty, buttery white fluffy, popcorn and a slightly smaller, clammy hand in my own. I repeat: lovely.

And that is it, for now. Nothing much going on in my own personal life. I got offered a miniscule writing grant out of the blue: unsolicited but certainly well-appreciated. Now, I gotta get off my ass (or rather, sit back down) and start writing.

The pressure.

We are still getting the back lash from that big storm (clouds, wind and a few sprinkles), so enjoy your sunshine!  Hopefully our weekend will be better.

Not when I see you posting, Nicky. You're one of my favorites and I've missed you around here.

Awww,  that's really nice Nicky.  It takes me back to 1974 with my daughter when she was 4 years old.

Thanks for a peek inside your life and a good read

Yay, good to see you writing something. I hope I see more.

Congrats on the grant, miniscule as it may be. I do hope it turns into something more for you.

Have a wonderful weekend.
