rambling on...
Published on May 4, 2004 By crimson In Blogging
There's no method to my madness of blogging today. I can't seem to put forth a fully formed opinion on anything, and any particular item that I would bitch about isn't maddening enough... just a minor annoyance.

Then again...

Ordered list, anyone?

  1. If Trinitie is 'gone' from Joeuser, why does she continue popping up in the comments section making decidingly bitchy comments? I would have responded to one of her so-called challenges, but that would be on someone else's blog, not mine. Since I'm home, then here goes... Like shadesofgrey mentioned, there's a difference between 'offending' and 'insulting'. What comment I might have made went unsaid, only because I didn't want to say something that could have been taken the wrong way by someone that I care about. It was his blog, and he introduced the subject, so I tried to make my point with some thought put into it, rather than just flying off the handle and getting my feelings hurt if there was any sort of backlash due to misinterpretation.
However, for the sake of misinterpretation, maybe she didn't mean it that way, either.

  2. What I really want to do is go and rent a handful of Jackie Chan movies and fastforward to the end credits of all of them then watch them one by one... the outtakes from a lot of his movies are simply priceless!

  3. The one album that I want to buy when I can scrap up enough coin? AC/DC's Back in Black. I'm just in that kind of mood lately. It's great to listen to while driving, and it bring backs fond memories of hot summer nights.

  4. I wish that I could find a really decent retro-looking lamp. Big. Clunky. Would kill someone if you happened to bust it over the head of an intruder. Possibly orange-coloured.

  5. To go with my retro-lamp I want one of those 70's style ashtrays. You know, the huge glass one that is mounted on a pedestal? I remember there was a twin set at my doctor's office. I want them both, and wouldn't glance the other way if the waiting room leather couches were part of the sets, too.

  6. I've just done over 4 loads of laundry, and I am still not done! This is a family of two! When does it end?

1. Problem is, a lot of people don't really care.

2. Jackie Chan is the shit! You gotta have respect for an actor that does all his own stunts.

3. For those about to rock, we salute you!

4/5. Retro 70's. mmmmm. just leave out the olive green shag carpet, mmm'kay?

6. Laundry never ends. Laundry and dishes are possibly the two greatest evils on the planet.

1. I had wondered the same thing myself.

2. Not really into Jackie Chan...

3. Yeah!!!!! Rock On!!!! Isn't it funny how songs can remind you of times/places?

4 & 5....yard sales.  Thrift stores.  I've seen a couple of lamps recently that I think are probably just what you're looking for.

6. I did 6 loads on Sunday, thought I was done - and found that 2 of the hampers are almost full again.  So, I'll have laundry to do again tomorrow.

Once again, you have demonstrated more self control than I have--you'll notice I jumped right into that comment in a catty and immature way. I'll try to be better at following your example--but being the baby sister, I'm inclined to fits of immaturity!

As for the laundry, JillUser said I could drop mine off at her house, I doubt she'd notice if I lumped yours in with it!

1. I have been wondering the same thing (about Trin) but feel a little too new still to really pose the question.

2. I love Jackie Chan. My wife isn't so big a fan, but still appreciates his stuff.

3. Not a big AC/DC fan, but that is a timeless rock record. And rock is always good.

4. Ebay? Not really buying any furniture lately so no help there.

5. Ditto.

6. I think laundry has the uncanny ability to multiply while in the hamper, then go back to its normal amount when in the closet. So, the truth is, in fact, you actually wash more clothes than you own.

Fun to read a collection of random thoughts.

Edit: Grr, for some reason I ended up with a double post. Sorry.
