It's been seven days since I've posted an article, so in JU terms, it's been like a year away from the crazy ole nut house.

You'd think that I'd have a lot to write, but really, the only thing that I've been doing these days is trying to keep afloat at my place of employment. You'd think that I have never stepped foot in the office, or ever accessed the files on the computer, but with everyone gone (my higher up is on vacation, the Production Manager is in New York, and the Director is currently trying to spend most days off-site to do her own research, and the Financial Advisor now has an office of her own), I'm left flailing around on my own, trying not to sink. The pros of the situation is that I've been given time to learn on my own, without a lot of eyes looking over my shoulders. The cons include not knowing where everything is immediately, and I waste much time trying to locate things that others wouldn't blink at if they were here. The other con is ATBA: All. The. Bloody. Acronyms.! Enough said about that.

I've been staying late at work each night, and am looking forward to a leave early today because of it. My weekend includes a Money Money concert, and trying to keep warm in the -24C temperatures. (-11F) That calls for Blockbuster trips, pizza delivery, and not much else.

I'm pissed at the Canadian Postal Service. For more than a week, I've been getting mail for another building's address, and mine is nowhere to be found. Apparently, my work check should have been sent on Tuesday, so I'm seriously concerned that it's gone missing. Though, it is the Canadian Postal Service. Mailed items never get sent, and special deliveries can take weeks instead of the promised 24 hours.

I'm not going make one damned remark about the current state of JU, except that I probably would have made the effort to write more frequently, if I wasn't so sick of it all. It's easy to avoid, but it also means I refrain from everything else while trying to do so.

So, the CPS is as bad as the USPS, which is not as good as DHL or FEDEX.  Hopefully you will get your check on the QT.

Wait, strike all that, I just reread and saw where you were tired of the acronyms.

Glad to hear it isn't just our post office that sucks.

Speaking of which, did you and Kole ever get the package I sent at Christmas?

heck i think JU has been quite tame this last week.

Absolutely! And btw, I sent you a letter, and then sent you package last Friday, did you get it? Our mail service is shite... Thanks for the lovely gifts, and Kole loves "Snowflake".

Hi nick! sorry, but i haven't been paying much attention of late either...

I got the package today!! Thanks very much. So appropriate. I've been having a streak of, what my mother calls, "negative energy." She told me last week that she would look into getting me some sage to burn in the corners of my apartment to get rid of the negativity and encourage positivity. How surprised was I to get a package with sage -- exactly what I needed. I immediately called my mother, who thought it was devine.

Also, please let Kole know that the soaps smell absolutely delicious -- I'm looking forward to using them!

I think I remember you blogging that you aren't using the "stopsonadime" email address any more--when you have a chance, can you shoot me your new email.

PS. The letter didn't arrive --but then again, half my mail never does!
