and remarking about the changes...

I noticed today how the Top Ten lists have changed... and it surprised me, pleasantly.

The biggest change? Dharmagrl!!!! I am glad to see her name on both lists. Way to go! I'm also glad to see opie's going down on the list... I never actually thought that it was fair that this user's name was taking the space that should be allotted for someone who's actually contributing on a regular basis. I'm sad to see Macky lose his ten spot... it was a short ride, but I'm sure it'll be there again just as quickly.

Has anyone else noticed the amount of new users on board? It's almost to the point where I recognize maybe 3 in 10 now... whereas that was much greater even a month ago. To all you new guys: welcome... and get writing! I don't know how anyone else feels about this, but I like watching new users grow as bloggers. It's hard to tell at first, how they will do or if they will continue on, but there are some that I am really rooting for now. Sarah-girl's blog is quickly becoming a favorite, and I love seeing KellyW's. I know Unfairman has been around for awhile, but I really enjoy reading his (and Ted's) stuff. Right on, guys.

I don't really think that I am headed in the top ten list anytime soon. I've been sitting around 20 for the past couple of months, and frankly, my ambition to reach higher just isn't there. Although, having said that, I think that for most of us, it isn't a desire to hit a certain number, but just be able to relate somehow with your self, your words, and your opinion. The rest is just there, regardless.

In the past couple of weeks, I've really been enjoying Jilluser's most recent blogs about spirituality. Sarah wrote the best article, and rather than just send the link to that one, I'll link the whole site... there's a lot of versatality there! And Brad's article about Spyware has come in pretty handy, too. I'm always selecting from my own list of 'blogs i like', and mean to update it again. I notice that more bloggers than not, do not actually use this function. It's too bad, because, often, if someone just points me in the right direction, I'll go check it out. I've been lucky. I never would have 'discovered' some of these people otherwise.

Good luck to all, and have fun.
Peace.

Yes, I love Sarah-Girl's blog.  Been reading it since she first started, and for a while I thought she had quit.  I should add her to my link list...

how in the blue hell did opie get that many points? And why hasn't Brad nerfed it?

Congrats, Dharma.

Unfortunately, my link section is quote broken, and it's stuck the way it is for now. A few articles have been posted but none of the admins have paid attention despite numerous confirmations. It may be a work in progress.

In any case, good job everybody. I think I'm ready to give up my top ten spot- I've been there long enough and I'd rather write good articles and not have to worry about contraversy. I've learned what I want to learn from JoeUser, and now I'd like to just enjoy it. We have a lot of phenomenally talented people here- I never thought I'd feel dwarfed as a writer, but there's a first time for everything- and it's my hope that they can in time become as dear to this community as our members that stretch back to last year. Some have already accomplished that task admirably.

I want to write an article about this... so I guess I'd better stop blabbing and leave it until I can write it. It's quarter after two in the morning and I just gave blood, so I'm feeling anything but alert, but tomorrow will see another article posted on my blog site. Incidently, my 100th.

For the third time:)
