Another day of hardly working...

I spent the tail-end of the morning using iMovie to create a DVD of recent peformances, and then it was off to the Theatre to prep the space. First the ugly work, sweeping, washing floors, cleaning dressing rooms. However, all chores after that, weren't chores at all, but excellent learning and laughing opportunities.

Michael Greyeyes Link and Santee Smith Link came in this afternoon, after we set the stage and did a little basic lighting. This upcoming production is a dance/media presentation, and it is definitely going to be pretty busy, and totally interesting. Some filming was done this afternoon for the media aspect of the production, and I had some fun throwing leaves in the air while trailing the camera. Someone's gotta do it.

I'm basically the best boy, or, as I'd like to put it, the go-to-girl. Got something for me to do, I'm the one to turn to. Go there to run for more gels, find the extra extension cords, tape wire, do sound checks, type promos, and videotape everything. I'm getting pretty good with the camera. After 4 tapings, the camera work is definitely less shaky and more in focus. My zoom capabilities are to the moon!

I like the schedule, though it is never consistent. And I forgot about the payroll department's lovely way of never getting the checks ready on time.

All is quiet on the homefront. I wish! The girls are always fighting, crying, screaming, tattling, and then giggling, all in one big breath. My apartment is a total write off, and I literally have no idea where to begin. My couch is sitting in the exact middle of the living room on an angle; I was going to rearrange it last week, but then got called in unexpectedly to work. I haven't made any further attempts or corrections. We haven't had time to do much more than eat, sleep and run.

Thank god for eggs. Dippy eggs for breakfast, egg salad sandwiches for lunch, scrambled with some meat and veggies thrown in for dinner. Occasionally, we'll have stir-fry.

Lots of writing done, and a big project on the horizon. Through some chatter and a back-and-forth of ideas with several friends, a future production is inevitable, and I'm pretty excited about it.

The downside of a productive life is less time for the Internet. I won't give up on the Joeuser Trivia Challenge, though. My goal is modest: a top 10 winner in this month's challenge.

Bring it all on....

Micahael Greyeyes is a hottie. How do you get the work done!?

It sounds like you are enjoying your new life, even though it is hectic you sound alive and thriving.

As long as I am in the joeuser trivia challenge you will never be in last place!

Have a great Sunday.

Nic, sounds like you're having a ball even if you are run off your feet. I was going to say the same about the Joe User Quiz that Kelly did. Now that I can spend time online at home, I might have a better chance at getting into the Top Ten myself (wonders will never cease )
