but i guess i'm gonna find out...
I've decided not to renew my internet service at home. One of the main reasons is because my computer is just a peice of crap. I've seen super high speed computers, and your run of the mill computers and both of these kinds are infinitely more superior to the task of web reading than this thing. Simply put, what probably takes most of you seconds to view here at Joeuser takes me minutes, and often more, depending on the frequency of times my service connection is broken. I'm not even going to mention how many times I bluescreen. Because of the latter, I've decided it's just not worth it right now... I have got a lot of stuff on this computer (text files) that I don't want to lose. I should back it all to disk, but feel better if it was stored on a computer as well. Until I get a new one, I won't be blogging as much.
Having said that, I blog an awful hell of a lot, but still only put out one or two articles every couple of days. I do have access to computers and the Internet elsewere, but chances are slim to none that you'll 'see' me on the forums around the same time anymore. It's hard giving up an addiction when you are not truly ready. The test for me, is to see how this affects my life. What will I do without immediate access? Probably read more, clean the house a bit more, go to bed earlier, and start paying more attention to some of the other writing that I have to complete.
So, it's only a couple more days of service and then it's goodbye late night blogging. Hopefully my last interview went well enough that I'll find out that it's only a matter of weeks until I get a 'new' computer. Or unless I cave, and rejoin. Until then... blog on, blog on.
