I'm blogonstipated.

I've got a handful of places where I post regularly, but really, anything goes for all of em. I find that my myspace account is generally music-oriented, I guess because of the format. I wrote a blog about dance music, and am still getting the vibe, I guess. I'm also in the middle of gathering a bunch of great 80's music for a cd compilation (oooh the power!) and I'm simply in love with myself right now. I shoulda been a dj.

But really, I haven't been posting much, at least, with the regularity that I'm accustomed to.

I don't know if I've got writer's block, or that I'm just bloody lazy. I start writing articles, and then leave them to hang around, unsubmitted. They've definitely gone bad now*, so there's no sense in even attempting a ressurrection. I don't know why I keep them, except maybe to surprise myself with remembering what seemed so important then, but means absolutely nothing now.

Life is pretty uneventful, aside from the music kick. I'm back to 40 hrs a week next week, so my job is like completely secure. Uh huh. It's still the same old shite though, and I've actively started seeking alternate employment, even though I'm being a little choosy at this stage. I might even go back to school for a term and a half to get some teaching experience through a college course. I still intend to apply for Teacher's College in the fall, so it would definitely help out.

But besides this, I'm just stayin' alive in a dog eat dog world. I'm trying to look on the bright side of things as always, but it's just so damned easy to go the other way.

2 pluses: 28 days until X-Men 3. Less than 12 hrs, and it's money in my pocket again. Payday is payday, no matter how small the check.

when blogs go bad* : an article written sometime ago, that was never submitted, yet still saved. It's exactly like dumping the last bit of leftover dinner in a tupperware container which is totally destined to become a science project later.

Wouldn't that just be the best job? Ah man...you'd love to come to work every day. And you'd probably be encouraged to drink on the job. What could be better? I wonder if it's too late for a career change?

I know that feeling.

As always, it's nice to see you posting, Nicky.

Dont worry hunny, maybe you just need some time off in the real world. Then when your muse sees you're ignoring her she'll be all over you to have you writing again on heaps of topics

I have been a radio dj for a public radio station. I did it for a couple of years while I was in the Airforce. I had a ball and got some good feedback too. I sometimes think I could have pursued a living in it, but decided I would rather write music than play other's.

Like you, I start a lot of pieces but never finish them. Most of the time, I find writing ideas sort of dilutes them and I run out of things to say or the idea starts sounding trite. I guess there is probably a ratio of about one in every half dozen that make it to here.

Finally, I'm am so looking forward to the next X-Men movie. I'm am a big fan of the comic (although my favourites are Batman and Spiderman). I've always had a soft spot for Wolverine, though, so this next installment is going to be really interesting as I believe it is a lot more focussed on him. But we'll have to wait and see.

I don't want to be disappointed, but this is probably the only movie that I've been looking forward to seeing all year. Quite a build-up. I love Wolverine too, but I dig all the characters with the possible exception of Storm. I heard that her storyline is beefed up a bit, which could be good, because I never really knew what she was there for in the first two films except to show what Halle Berry would look like in a wig.
